About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Director of Information Technology. As our first dedicated IT hire, you’ll build and scale a global function. You’ll also own business applications, identity, devices, SaaS, and IT controls. Over time, you will hire a small team beneath you.

What You Will Do

  • Own the IT strategy, roadmap, and budget: establish IT as a function with clear service levels that enable a fast-growing business.
  • Own identity and access end to end: SSO and SAML, SCIM provisioning, group and role design, MFA, privileged access, and a joiner-mover-leaver process that actually runs on time
  • Own device management across macOS and Windows: MDM baselines, encryption, patching, remote wipe, procurement, and the offboarding returns that most companies quietly fail at
  • Own the SaaS estate: application inventory, admin and role hygiene, seat reconciliation against budget owners, renewal calendar, and vendor consolidation. Know what we pay for and who uses it
  • Drive readiness and evidence for compliance work: own the access reviews, offboarding logs, and control documentation auditors and partners ask for
  • Own business continuity and disaster recovery for corporate systems: including backup, testing, and a documented plan for the day the office or the vault network goes down
  • Own IT vendor and MSP: relationships, contracts, and spend, and decide deliberately what to build in-house versus outsource
  • Own onboarding and offboarding as an experience: day-one readiness for every new hire and same-day access removal for every departure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 10+ years in IT, including 4+ years leading an IT function or team
  • Hands-on identity administration; SSO/SAML, SCIM, OAuth, group and role models
  • Hands-on device management: MDM for macOS and Windows at scale (Kandji, Jamf, or equivalent)
  • Expert-level administration of a modern SaaS stack (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, Okta, Slack, and the surrounding tools)
  • Scripting and automation ability (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and comfort with APIs and integrations
  • Demonstrated experience building an IT function from a low baseline, including standing up helpdesk, policy, and asset management from scratch
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS) and experience producing evidence for an audit
  • Genuine service orientation. You measure yourself on whether the company can work, and you can explain a technical constraint to a non-technical executive without condescension
  • Willingness to be onsite regularly, including at our operations facility
  • Comfort with using AI tooling to eliminate repetitive IT work and to improve support response

The base salary range listed is a guideline. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and the impact you bring. Total compensation includes base salary, bonus, and equity.

$205,000—$255,000 USD
