About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help strengthen Arena Club’s strategic decision-making, enhance operational performance, and integrate data across the company to unlock deeper insights into customer behavior and market performance.

As a key individual contributor, you’ll focus on building and maintaining reliable data pipelines, improving data quality, and ensuring data is well-instrumented, accessible, and structured to support meaningful analysis. You will work with existing tools and systems, including Mixpanel and AWS-based data infrastructure, partnering closely with engineering and business teams across product, operations, and the marketplace.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning execution, operating in evolving data environments, and incrementally improving how data is collected, processed, and used to drive better business decisions.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Python, Spark, AWS, and SQL
• Build and manage data pipelines in an AWS environment, including Redshift
• Ingest and transform transactional, customer, marketing, and user interaction data
• Support both batch and real-time data processing and streaming use cases
• Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency across data pipelines
• Improve data instrumentation and event tracking in partnership with engineering teams
• Support product and business analytics through well-structured, analytics-ready datasets
• Own and maintain Mixpanel data workflows, including validation and dashboard support
• Partner with stakeholders to translate data needs into scalable engineering solutions
• Balance ad hoc requests with long-term data reliability and maintainability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with Spark and ETL pipeline development
• Experience working in AWS-based data environments, including Redshift
• Experience supporting both batch and real-time or streaming data pipelines
• Ability to work independently and deliver production-ready data solutions
