What We’re Looking For

Source is looking to hire a Product Designer to seamlessly blend creativity and technical expertise in crafting exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of designing intuitive and visually appealing interfaces, underpinned by a deep understanding of user-centric design principles. A successful candidate in this role will have a portfolio showcasing diverse design capabilities and is an adaptable, curious, and pragmatic team-player who thrives in a fast-paced innovative environment.

The position is full time, salaried, and can be located anywhere in the United States.

Salary for this position is: $115,000 per year.

Objectives of this Role

  • To research, ideate, and scope tools for that elevate and streamline workflows for external users and internal teams as part of a cross-functional team.

  • To develop intuitive and comprehensive interfaces that strengthen the product’s brand and overall consistency.

  • To develop a design framework that will scale across different platforms with the addition of new tools, features, and integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed user personas to provide a clear understanding of the target audience and their diverse characteristics.

  • Create exceptional user experiences by designing intuitive and efficient user interfaces for the software product.

  • Rapidly prototype design concepts to gather feedback and iterate on ideas effectively.

  • Conduct usability testing with real users to identify areas for improvement and validate design decisions.

  • Craft visually appealing and consistent interfaces that align with the product's branding and overall design language.

  • Define and design interactive elements and micro-interactions to enhance the user experience.

  • Collaborate closely with product owners, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the design and development process.

  • Utilize user data and analytics to make informed design decisions and iterate on the product.

  • Ensure the product's design is adaptable and optimized for various platforms (e.g., web, mobile, desktop).

  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Graphic Design, Interaction Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related discipline.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar software.

  • Demonstrable understanding of user experience (UX) principles and user interface (UI) design best practices, with the ability to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces. Must include a strong portfolio of diverse projects.

  • A keen eye for detail to ensure pixel-perfect design and consistency throughout the product.

  • Problem solving mindset with the ability to balance creative strategy and tactical execution.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders.

  • Self-driven and willing to take calculated risks in an ambiguous environment.

  • Embraces change and is flexible in adapting to evolving user, market, and business needs.
