Content Strategy & Operations

About Roon

Millions of people turn to online sources such as search engines and social media for medical information. But these platforms are often overwhelming and rife with misinformation. Roon was built by an interdisciplinary team of doctors, patients, caregivers, public health experts, designers, engineers, and content producers, all dedicated to our mission of reimagining the internet for health with trust and expert curation at its core.
Currently, Roon is used and loved by thousands of people navigating ALS, GBM, and Dementia. Hundreds of doctors from leading medical institutions including Harvard, Stanford, UCSF, Cornell, UPenn, Duke, Columbia etc. have created Roon content and distribute Roon to their patients. We’re now applying those insights as well as new technical innovation to fertility care and women’s health.

Brief Description

We are looking for someone to join our team either full time or as a part time contractor to oversee content strategy and operations. After launching in ALS, glioblastoma, and dementia, we are preparing to launch a large number of new conditions, including fertility, endometriosis and PCOS, among others.
Come join the medical content team to oversee strategy and operations. At Roon, you'll be driving an engine that produces thousands of short-form, high quality videos from world experts that make navigating health less hard for our users.

Who You Are

You have a background in healthcare or an adjacent field (i.e. nursing, public health, health journalism, allied health profession)
You have an insatiable curiosity and you enjoy deep dives into topics in public health, medicine, and science.
You love taking complex ideas and distilling them into simple and accessible language - you’ve got a passion for writing and word-smithing.
You have experience or interest in interviewing and engaging with medical experts and scientists. You have a talent for organization and operations with strong attention to detail.
Content operations at Roon requires coordination across editors, reviewers, experts and our technical team. You are someone who enjoys being at the heart of those operations, keeping a close eye on the entire orchestration and ensuring that the entire process continues to hum.
Lastly, you are excited to join a fast-growing company, and to work in a close-knit and fast-moving environment, and grow with us in the future.
Ideally candidates would be in either Boston or NYC areas.

What You’ll Do
