About the Role

Roon is seeking a curious and analytical medical student to join our team as a Growth Strategy Intern. This person will help us understand and map physician communities across medical specialties and subspecialties, informing how we grow Roon’s physician network.

You will own focused research projects—from identifying influential physicians and emerging voices to understanding where specialty communities gather, what they are discussing, and how information travels within their fields.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct thoughtful, personalized outreach to prospective physician members
  • Manage follow-ups and maintain accurate records of physician conversations and next steps
  • Identify relevant professional organizations, training programs, conferences, and online physician communities
  • Track outreach performance and identify opportunities to improve messaging, targeting, and conversion
  • Use AI tools such as Claude to make research, personalization, and outreach more efficient
  • Present findings and recommendations to Roon’s growth and medical teams

  • Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in medical school or a related health sciences program
  • Previous experience and/or demonstrated interest in start-ups, technology, or entrepreneurship
  • Able to commit at least ten hours per week for a four-month contract
  • Strong writing, organization, and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of defined projects
  • Familiarity with medical specialties, physician networks, and the broader healthcare landscape
  • Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude
  • Familiarity with social media and trends within online physician communities, including Doximity, MedTwitter/X, Bluesky, and LinkedIn
