About the Role
We’re hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and evolution of RadiantGraph’s data platform, the foundation that powers our AI-driven healthcare engagement products.
This is not a “data engineer” role focused on writing ETL jobs. It’s a platform engineering role: architecting secure, compliant systems in Databricks and AWS that make data reliable, scalable, and usable across the company.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our platform is:
Secure (IAM, credentials, access patterns),
Compliant (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST), and
Robust (able to support real-time products, analytics, and ML).
If you’re excited about building the systems that data engineers, scientists, and application developers rely on, this role is for you.

Responsibilities
Oversee the architecture and long-term roadmap of RadiantGraph’s data platform, including both ETL pipelines and underlying infrastructure (Databricks + AWS).
Own security, compliance, and reliability standards across the platform, ensuring ongoing alignment with SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST requirements in partnership with our security team.
Design and maintain repeatable integration playbooks (S3, SFTP, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.) that ensure secure, compliant, and scalable client onboarding.
Evolve how we ingest, organize, and serve data to support both real-time engagement and analytical workloads.
Partner with engineers and data scientists to deliver a platform that is usable, efficient, and cost-aware.
Introduce and champion practices that improve operability - monitoring, resilience, and developer experience - while keeping complexity in check.
Mentor teammates and provide technical leadership across data and infra domains.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in software, platform, or infrastructure engineering, with proven Staff-level impact.
Strong expertise in modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Lakehouse architectures).
Deep knowledge of AWS services, IAM, and security practices.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
Track record of designing platforms for others to build on, with an emphasis on security and compliance in regulated environments.
Excellent communication skills and ability to drive cross-functional technical decisions.
Hybrid - Need to be on-site 2-3 days a week in the San Francisco office.
Bonus Points
Background in healthcare or other regulated environments, with hands-on experience supporting SOC 2 / HIPAA / HITRUST compliance programs.
Experience enabling data engineering and ML teams by building shared, compliant platforms.
Experience with monitoring/observability stacks.
Experience balancing data platform priorities with DevOps/infra needs.
