Staff Full-Stack Engineer (Backend-Focused)
RadiantGraph
About RadiantGraph:
RadiantGraph is building the first AI-native consumer engagement platform for healthcare, helping payors and health services connect with their members in smarter, faster, and more personalized ways.
We believe that healthcare needs the same personalization consumers expect from modern tech platforms, but without the years of costly integration work. That’s why we’ve built a unified system that ingests complex health data, trains AI models for tailored outreach, and automates omnichannel communication, including email, SMS, and voice AI.
Since launching in 2023, we’ve grown more than 1,400%, powering engagement for over 3.5 million members, and helping clients 12x their ability to identify at-risk members.
At RadiantGraph, you'll join a mission-driven, fast-growing team focused on building real-world impact at scale, helping millions of people access the right care, at the right time.
About the Role:
We're hiring a Staff Full-Stack Engineer to help us build the future of AI-powered healthcare engagement.
Join us if you want to work on high-impact backend systems, collaborate across the stack, and help solve one of healthcare’s most pressing problems: meaningful member engagement.
We're looking for a product-minded builder who can architect and ship robust backend systems, expose thoughtful APIs, and ensure smooth integration across frontend and data services. You'll work in a fast-moving environment with high ownership, solving real-world healthcare problems that impact people’s lives.
If you love building modern backend infrastructure and don't shy away from learning what it takes to connect it all, this role is for you.
Description:
Lead the architecture and development of robust backend systems using Python (FastAPI).
Build and maintain APIs that serve complex business logic, power ML models, and enable integrations.
Design and evolve data models, schemas, and pipelines that support both application needs and downstream analytics.
Contribute across the stack as needed (e.g., frontend features in Next.js/TypeScript), while staying backend-first.
Drive decisions around scalability, performance, and maintainability with a long-term mindset.
Mentor and support other engineers; lead by example through high-quality code and thoughtful design.
Collaborate closely with product, data science, and customer-facing teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Contribute to infrastructure, deployment (CI/CD), and observability to ensure reliability and speed.
Stay ahead of best practices in backend development, API design, and cloud architecture.
Qualifications:
An engineer who has operated at the Staff level or beyond, typically with 8–12 years of experience across software engineering and system design.
Comfortable owning complex systems, mentoring others, and driving architectural decisions with limited oversight.
Expert-level knowledge of backend development with Python frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
Experience building and maintaining APIs (REST, OpenAPI, or GraphQL) in production environments.
Strong understanding of modern databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) and schema design.
Strong grasp of authentication, authorization, and security best practices (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in high-ownership environments.
Bonus Points:
Experience with modern data architectures (lakehouses, Spark, Databricks) in production environments.
Familiarity with ETL pipelines or model outputs, especially in a productized context.
Comfort jumping into frontend frameworks (Next.js, TypeScript) to ship features or integrations.
Exposure to healthcare data standards or compliance-heavy environments like HIPAA or SOC2.
