About the Role

The Head of Sales & Customer Success at Packsmith is a unique opportunity to help unlock the next revolution in e-commerce and shape Packsmith’s trajectory now and in the future by developing, defining, and driving our sales strategy. In this key leadership role reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for owning, developing, and leading our fast-paced sales growth and customer success strategy in the US and beyond.

Our Head of Sales & Customer Success will be responsible for closing new brand customers in the US quickly and efficiently, managing our growing sales team across the globe, developing and scaling a fresh approach to customer success, and representing Packsmith to brands and key e-commerce audiences. The ideal candidate is an action-oriented strategic sales and partnerships leader who is driven to deliver category-defining customer experiences from outreach through to account maturity. You should be able to lead effectively, build out key sales and customer success systems from the ground up, drive sales rapidly through your network and through consistent outreach strategies, manage customer success operations at scale, and shape Packsmith’s trajectory now and in the future.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Drive top-line growth for our customer base, including setting and executing against key sales and customer success metrics (sales, customer growth, retention, and customer success).
  • Build and grow our customer accounts, US sales team, and global sales operations.
  • Exceed monthly sales targets/goals and successfully complete all activities that drive revenue generation.
  • Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, product, leadership, and brand customers themselves to find innovative solutions to key customer challenges.
  • Contribute to shaping the future vision of our startup and how we sell it to customers, partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead solution and product selling in a consultative, empathetic manner
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance account management and customer success.
  • Handle RFP and quote activities for all sales and customer accounts
  • Conduct Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with accounts and internal teams.
  • Drive up customer satisfaction scores and overall customer happiness.

Qualifications

  • At least 5-7+ years of high-growth sales leadership experience in Shopify-enabled e-commerce or e-commerce logistics.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets against the odds and achieving rapid revenue growth.
  • Strong background in e-commerce and e-commerce community engagement.
  • Deep experience with strong proficiency with key tools including Shopify, Hubspot, and Google Suite.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing strategic sales plans.
  • Experience in hands-on training, coaching, and development of Sales teams
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, especially for new and innovative products.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Experience with both Field/Outside Sales & Inside Sales preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and presentation skills.
