The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly organised and commercially aware Paralegal to join our Legal team. The role will involve providing essential legal support across OpenFX’s global operations and assisting on a diverse range of legal matters. The successful candidate will gain exposure to corporate, banking, regulatory, and technology-related legal issues within a fast-growing fintech environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Legal Counsel (based in London) and work closely with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Contracts

  • Supporting drafting, review and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, including agreements relating to vendor services, client trading, technology/software, banking partnerships, employment and NDAs
  • Managing document execution processes and coordinating electronic signatures
  • Assisting with contract management and the storage of legal records
  • Maintaining and updating the company’s contract repository, including tracking key contractual obligations, renewal dates and termination rights

Corporate Governance

  • Preparing company documentation, including board resolutions and shareholder approvals
  • Maintaining statutory registers and corporate records
  • Assisting with corporate filings (for example, Companies House filings)

Regulatory & Compliance Support

  • Supporting the Legal team with regulatory and licensing application projects in the UK and other jurisdictions in which OpenFX operates
  • Conducting legal research on financial services, payments, and digital asset frameworks, and presenting findings in a clear and practical way to internal stakeholders
  • Supporting the monitoring of legal and regulatory developments relevant to the business, particularly in the digital assets space

Legal Operations

  • Managing the legal inbox and triaging internal legal requests
  • Maintaining standard legal templates and policies
  • Supporting the development of contract playbooks and internal guidance notes

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • A Law degree (LLB), Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) or equivalent legal qualification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Desirable

  • LPC or SQE completed or in progress
  • An interest in financial regulation, payments, or digital assets
  • Prior experience working in, or an understanding of cross-border payments, FX, fintech and/or crypto-related businesses
  • Previous experience working in-house, at a law firm, or a financial services firm
