Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer or Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background building intuitive web interfaces to accomplish complex tasks in a collaborative manner, a passion for clean and efficient code, and the ability to thrive in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative frontend solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using React.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and foster knowledge sharing.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and overall system design.
• Leverage Git to manage codebases effectively.
• Develop and maintain a solid understanding of security best practices to safeguard against potential vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• Proven experience in frontend TypeScript development with expertise in one or more modern frameworks, preferably experience with React 18+ including hooks and custom hooks.
• Experience with TypeScript skills including generics, type inference, discriminated unions, utility types, and type guards
• Experience with state management solutions and React Router for client-side routing and navigation.
• Experience with testing frameworks, e.g. Cypress.
• Experience with well-architected large codebases and common abstraction mechanisms.
• The ability to collaborate to design intuitive user interfaces for complex tasks.
• Experience with modern code review processes and tools.
• Proficiency with Git.
• Proficiency in CSS.
• Familiarity with security best practices and principles.
• Ability to both work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Additional Skills (a plus)

• Experience working on backend projects or a willingness to learn. See our other positions for information on relevant skills.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Familiarity with databases, especially MongoDB
