At Estuary, we’re building the infrastructure that powers real-time data movement — helping companies sync, transform, and operationalize data across databases, warehouses, and streaming systems. Following a $17M Series A led by M13, we’re entering the next phase of growth — expanding the product, scaling the team, and continuing to build and scale our core data platform. We’re hiring a founding Product Manager to help shape what we build and why. You’ll work directly with our founders, engineers, and customers to define product direction across the core platform — from control plane to connectors to user experience. This is an early, high-impact role where you’ll directly shape what we build next. This is not a “process PM” role. You’ll be expected to form strong opinions, get close to users, and drive decisions in a fast-moving, highly technical environment — with the autonomy to move quickly and the responsibility to get it right. What You’ll Do- Contribute to product direction across key areas of the platform, including but not limited to: Control plane (workflow orchestration, management, reliability); Connector ecosystem (source/destination integrations, developer experience); User experience (UI, onboarding, usability of complex workflows); AI-driven features and tooling, helping users automate, optimize, or gain insights from real-time data- Work directly with customers and prospects to deeply understand their data infrastructure use cases and translate that into product priorities.- Develop PRDs which disentangle the complex relationships between systems we connect with and our product to speed up engineering implementations and align them with customer needs.- Partner closely with engineering to define, scope, and ship features- Effectively prioritize limited resources to ensure we utilize them as efficiently as possible to deliver customer value.- Develop and communicate product roadmap and priorities, bringing clarity to what we’re building and why- Act as a connective layer across the company, aligning engineering, go-to-market, and leadership around product directionWhat We’re Looking For- 4–8 years of experience in product management, engineering, or a highly technical, product-adjacent role- Experience working on developer tools, data infrastructure, or technical products (e.g. data pipelines, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure)- A strong capability to apply modern AI tools to the product lifecycle- Proven track record of working closely with engineering teams to ship products- Thrives in ambiguity and early-stage environments with a curious outlook and get it done no matter what attitude- Track record of talking to users, uncovering real problems, and turning those insights into product directionNice to Have- Background in data engineering, analytics, or distributed systems- Experience building or working with connectors, ETL/ELT pipelines, or streaming systems- Early-stage startup experienceWhy Estuary- Work directly with the founding team on core product decisions- Own meaningful product surface area from day one- Small, high-performing team — low process, high ownership- Remote-first with quarterly offsites in places like Miami, Boulder, and Austin- Competitive compensation and equity
