The Role
Our engineering team is building a product for manufacturing engagement . Some of the technologies we use are React, Typescript, AWS Lambda, and PostgreSQL. We have an ambitious all-TypeScript codebase that lives in a monorepo with strong types and good test coverage. We care deeply about developer experience and building scalable systems for our users and the staff supporting it.
We need help building & maintaining our platform. There will be a lot of experimentation in the product and responding to customer feedback.
What You’ll Do
Architect and implement core functionality for the platform
Write resilient tests to ensure platform stability
Put in software patterns to allow the platform to scale over time
Write CSS for both consumer & b2b UIs
Analyze metrics around usage patterns to make data-driven engineering decisions
Think critically about the the product we are building and get into the mindset of our users
Experience We’re Looking For
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience working within a production React, JavaScript & TypeScript application environment
Experience using a design system to implement UI features.
Demonstrated expertise in working with a relational database.
Expertise in writing resilient unit, integration, and end to end tests with various frameworks
Deep understanding of at least one public cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, GCP
Familiarity with a continuous integration platform such as Github actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins
Experience working on notification features (SMS & Email)
Experience working on payment systems (this is a core functionality of our application).
Bonus
Experience working with payroll systems, timekeeping systems, and manufacturing ERP systems.
Within one month you will...
Architect and implement a new feature to be added to the platform
Put in software patterns to make the codebase resilient and flexible to change
Be the technical lead of creating a PRD (product requirements document) surrounding a new feature to be added to the platform
Triage, solve, and deploy a bug fix
